Many students begin around age 7, once they can focus and reach the kit comfortably. Come in and meet an instructor to find the right starting point.
Do I need a drum set at home?
A practice pad and sticks are enough to begin and build technique. A full kit helps as you progress, and we can advise on affordable options, including electronic kits.
Are drums too loud for practicing at home?
Much early practice happens on a quiet practice pad, and electronic kits with headphones are a great low-volume option for home.
Will my child learn to read music?
Yes. We teach rhythmic reading alongside playing by ear, so students become versatile, confident drummers.
